Our Foundation
Who we are - The focus of our Foundation is to successfully implement a model for the comprehensive rehabilitation of disabled children, assisted by hippotherapy and family therapy.
One of the first non-governmental organisations in Poland, our foundation was established in 1989. It addresses all issues relating to hippotherapy and equine-assisted rehabilitation

A little bit of history ...

During our first 10 years of activity we promoted the hippotherapy method as a universal form of multi-disciplinary rehabilitation, the unique character of which consists in simultaneous motor, sensory, mental and social stimulation.

At that time we were taking a series of actions significant for the development of the whole hippotherapeutic movement in Poland, for example in 1992 we initiated the founding of the Polish Hippotherapeutic Association and organised the Association's statutory meeting; we established the first international contacts (Therapeutic Riding for the Disabled International, FENTAC, NARHA) and issued Polish editions of publications on hippotherapy.

Starting from 2000, we have been concentrating on implementing a model for the comprehensive rehabilitation of disabled children, assisted by, among other things, hippotherapy and family therapy.

Our core aim is to help children with special needs in their psychomotor and social development.

Our programme

THE CORE AIM OF THE FOUNDATION is to assist the overall development of disabled children, their motor capabilities, emotional disposition and social interaction. >>>

OUR PROGRAMME comprises mutually enhancing and complementing hippotherapeutic rehabilitation and pedagogic action consisting of selected elements of the most effective forms of therapy.

Hippotherapy with its wide spectrum of influence acts as a "release" or a "catalyst", stimulating the development of disabled children.

PARENTS OF DISABLED CHILDREN are offered both individual and group  psychological help. This aims at supporting them in their everyday battling with the child's impairment, as well as teaching them how to manage emotions and how to constructively respond to difficult situations.
